I really do enjoy a good glass of vino. I like to think I am a connoisseur – but probably not the case. I have an okay selection of red, white, and bubbley at home – all in which are local and a decent price point.
From left to right
Located on BC’s Naramata Bench – I have yet to go here, but from what I have been told its a great spot – bring a blanket, buy a bottle, order some fire oven pizza and enjoy. Also their white Noble Blend – hands down my fave white, my go to always.
Re Think Pink
Not too sweet, notes of cherry, cranberry & citurs. Great chilled for an afternoon with the ladies (or solo for that matter) on the patio soaking up some sun
Located in Oliver BC, super cute, quaint spot. I also love their Piontage – often hard to find though, one of my favourites!
Not too dry, not too sweet, and not too carbonated. I recently fell in love with bubbles – odd because I still do not love carbonated drinks – and hated them as a kid. Great bottle to bring to friends for brunch or even an afternoon BBQ
Another Oliver winery – need I say more, you can find these labels at most local wine or liquor stores. Awesome marketing, makes a great gift. Red or White blend – both are pretty decent – the label makes it for sure
Another amazing local winery in Oliver – great spot to sit on the patio near their pool nestled beside the vineyard. A fabulous spot to stop for a bite to eat while you are touring – best flat bread I have ever had (and that was not just because I tasted 7 different wines there)
A M A Z I N G – no other words to describe. If you really want to be a high roller spend a few extra bucks and go for a bottle of the Nota Bene – great for any very special occasion or maybe just a treat.
Best Summer Patio Sipper
This winery again is in Oliver, at the top of OK Falls over looking Skaha lake – absolutely beautiful.
Smooth and citrusy, perfect for sipping chilled paired with some vitamin D – would be great for a white sangria too!
Best Very Local Winery
I cannot get enough of this place, it is a 15 min drive to South Langley from my place, it is an amazing way to spend an afternoon. The staff are great while you are doing a tasting, awesome for first time tasters. You can purchase a bottle, as well as some snacks and sit out at the picnic tables sipping on your drink of choice basking in the sun. I became a member here, probably after a few glasses of wine – but the perks are great and I really love their wine, great price point and literally down the road. I love sipping their bubbles with the gals when we visit, the red blend “Gossip” is also fabulous paired with a nice meal or alone. I do not think I tasted a wine I did not like there so far! Check them out.
